Obituaries: Former owner of the Vegreville Observer passed away

HORTON, Wilfrid L. (Wufty) April 1, 1929 – September 4, 2009 On Friday, September 4, 2009, Mr. Wilfrid L. Horton (Wufty) of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 80 years. Wilfrid is survived by his wife, Lois of 53 years; children and grandchildren, Hobe (Helen) and their daughter, Sydney; Kate; Jane (Brian) and her children, Amber, Adam, Sarah and Katelyn; Margaret (Tom) and their children, Don, Steve, Mary and Julie; A.L.; one sister, Charlotte Stuparek; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Wilfrid was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Catherine Horton; brothers, Ted, Allison, Jim and Clarence; sisters Kathleen (Twig) Taylor and Mabel Henderson.
