George Brown wins Golden Dozen award

Grassroots editor summer 2013 edition

Congrats to George Brown, Editor of the Ponoka News, on his Golden Dozen award. Each year, ISWNE (International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors) recognizes the 12 best editorials written by its members, in addition to awarding a ‘Golden Quill’ for the best overall editorial.

This is the fourth time George has won the award. He was recognized for his editorial, ‘It’s not up to council to rebrand Ponoka’
