AWNA looks forward to its partnership with Postmedia

The AWNA looks forward to working with Postmedia, now that is has entered into an agreement to acquire Sun Media Corporation’s stable of 175 English language newspapers. Our association provides advertising and other services to 30 of these publications.

“The AWNA is excited about future prospects, as Postmedia has demonstrated that it is committed to the long-term growth of its newspaper properties,” says Executive Director Dennis Merrell.

“Our association also has a long history of successfully promoting the community newspaper brand. The (Postmedia) acquisition should have a stabilizing effect on the Canadian newspaper industry and help to ensure that we have a strong presence for years to come.”
