SWNA and MCNA have agreed to purchase the AWNA’s national advertising placement system. This is the first time the prairie newspaper associations will be on a common software platform. It will help the three groups cut expenditures on software and IT support, but more importantly, it will significantly improve our overall service and support to national advertisers and their agencies.
SWNA member newspapers have also agreed to upload their weekly editions to the AWNA’s digital archive (AWSOM) system, since the ad placement software is integrated with the archive for digital tear sheet purposes. MCNA member newspapers have uploaded their newspapers to AWSOM for several years now. AWSOM will now have more than 260 newspapers available in its archive, including newspapers from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Vermont.
