BCYCNA seeks judges for a few categories – can you help?

The BC and Yukon Community News Media Association (BCYCNA) is still looking for judges for a few categories:

–Environmental Writing Award

–various Photography categories

–General Newspaper Excellence Awards – we have seven circulation categories, and for each one, we invite a panel consisting of a publisher, an industry professional (meaning someone else who works or has worked at a paper or in the media, or perhaps a designer), and a regular citizen. All three review the same set of papers and submit their choices, and we take an average of the results.

Entries will be made available for judges by Friday January 31, and we’ll be asking for decisions back by Friday, February 14. For all categories except Newspaper Excellence (which requires hard copy review), the review and judging is done through an online contest site.
