We’re starting to see entries come in, but it can’t hurt to include this reminder 🙂 Deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, Feb 4. All your entries will be for stories/ads/photos etc that appeared in print, in 2021

As we did last year, you’ll use the online forms on this site here:

Did you create an account on that website last year?

  • If you did, you can log in with the same email address and password and submit this year’s entries
  • If you didn’t, please check with your publisher/general manager for the URL to the registration page. we don’t make this URL public for security reasons.
  • If you made an account last year but don’t remember the password, follow the link on the login page to reset your password. (You will need to know the email address you used to create your account.)

Where do you start?

  • This page here is an index , the jumping off point to help you find all the entry info. Remember there are three main divisions, so consider them all.
    • Photo Awards
    • Awards of Excellence (this is the advertising/writing stuff)
    • General Excellence (this is the one where the paper is evaluated as a whole)
  • And here’s a checklist you can print out to help walk you through all the pieces, so you’ll not miss out on any of the competitions.

Please, please, please.. share the info with all the staff

Share this info with the various departments at your newspaper. We know that at some newspapers the departments might not be in the same building, or maybe people are working from home. At some papers the production department might be shared with other titles in a publishing group – and that’s OK. Even the work of freelancers is valid as long as it (the ad or story) was created specifically for your newspaper.

We need your help to make sure everyone at your paper gets a chance to enter their best work from the past year.

Can’t find the PDFs to send in for your entries?

We do maintain an offsite archive of your newspaper and we can access the PDFs for your pages. If you know the page number(s) let us know and we’ll be happy to grab a copy and send it your way.
