The SWNA is seeking judges for its BNC

The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association is currently seeking judges for our 2023 Better Newspapers Competition. The entries will be made available by the end of January, and we would require the scores and comments returned by mid-February. Below is a list of available categories:

• Best Agricultural Coverage (Single Story)
• Best Recreational Story or Series
• Best Educational Coverage – K-12 (Single Story or Feature)
• Best First Nations Coverage
• Best Feature Story
• Best Health/Healthcare Coverage (Series of Stories)
• Best Government Coverage
• Best Habitat Conservation Writing
• Best Black and White Photo
• General Excellence Awards (3 parts – Best Front Page, Best Editorial Section, Best Overall Newspaper)
  • Class B Circulation 1,200 – 1,999 (approx. 10 newspapers)
