The SWNA still requires judges for its BNC

The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association still requires a few more judges for our 2023 Better Newspapers Competition. The entries will be made available by the end of January/beginning of February, and we would require the scores and comments returned by the end of February. Below is a list of available categories: 

  • Best Recreational Story or Series
  • Best First Nations Coverage
  • Best Feature Story
  • Best Health/Healthcare Coverage (Series of Stories)
  • Best Government Coverage
  • Best Habitat Conservation Writing
  • Best Black and White Photo
  • General Excellence Awards (3 parts – Best Front Page, Best Editorial Section, Best Overall Newspaper)
    • Class B Circulation 1,200 – 1,999 (approx. 10 newspapers)
