Investing in community-led restorative justice
Applications are now open for the Alberta Restorative Justice Grant.

Alberta’s government is investing $720,000 through the Alberta Restorative Justice Grant to support community organizations, municipalities, Indigenous communities and youth justice committees that provide restorative justice services.

Restorative justice helps people address the impacts of crime. It brings together those harmed, those responsible and community members to repair harm, repair relationships and find a way forward outside the traditional court process, when appropriate.

Last year, funding supported 19 programs led by community organizations, municipalities and Indigenous communities across Alberta. These programs ranged from youth-focused and community-based approaches to Indigenous-led services rooted in culture, healing and responsibility.

Individual grants of up to $50,000 are available, with applications open until October 7.
