Obituary: Hugh Stubbs

Hugh Stubbs was a past owner and publisher of the Vermilion Standard.

STUBBS, Hugh A. On April 5, 2011, Hugh Stubbs of Edmonton (formerly of
Vermilion) passed away at the age of 79. Hugh is survived by his sons:
Calvin and his wife Doris and their children Christopher, Shawn, and Melanie
(Andrew); and Colin and his wife Millie and their children Scott (Arianna),
Keith (Noel) and their twins Nicklas and William, and Dale. Hugh is also
survived by his brothers Walter (Ruth) and Wallace (Lillian) and sisters
Dorothy (Howard), Deanna (Wally), and Doreen (Wayne). Hugh was predeceased
by his wife Pauline, on March 4, 2007 and his brothers Keith and Gerry
(Sharon). Hugh deeply missed Pauline, his wife of 54 years. He took great
pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Hugh lived
his life to its fullest and always looked forward to the return of spring
and the golf season. At Hugh’s request there will be no Funeral and
Cremation has taken place.
