AD ALERT – SCAM AD

Please watch out for the following scam ad.

They claim they are looking for a caregiver for their mother who has dementia.

Once you apply, they will send you a cheque for your first week’s pay plus extra for you to send the rest of the money to their property manager (in the States) by Western Union (Western Union doesn’t have a tracking system). This is because they are in the process of moving back to Canada from New South Wales, Australia. Of course the cheque bounces, etc. Here’s a copy of the classified ad:

EXPERIENCED CAREGIVER NEEDED to start work immediately for mother in law suffering dementia. I am offering 4-5 hours per day on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at a rate of $20 per hour. All applicants should email directly at jobinportal@gmail.com
