AWNA has received funding for a reader survey program from the Government of Canada. We have partnered with Clear Picture to develop a short set of questions for each newspaper to gather feedback from their readers. These questions gauge reader interest in content and advertising as well as collect demographic information.

The Advertising Committee helped shape this survey, but please note that the questions for this initial round are final. We expect to be able to run this program for several years, and will be happy to address feedback ahead of an annual question revision next year. We are unable to run custom question sets per paper as the survey is designed for benchmarking with other newspapers.

We are still awaiting the official rollout date, but you will shortly be receiving a link and a code to direct your readers to the survey. Each code is unique to each paper. AWNA has also prepared some ads you are free to use to publicize the survey, though you are welcome to design your own. Please note if you design your own ads, it is critically important that acknowledgement of Government of Canada funding is properly given.

We encourage all papers to take full advantage of this program. The survey is intended to run all year, so to get the most out of it, we recommend you continuously notify your readers. A further information package will be sent out shortly.

Any questions about this program can be directed to ryan@awna.com.
