Deadline extended for Fire Prevention Week entries

New Deadline – December 31st.

Still time for Fire Prevention Week contest entries. Hosted by the Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC), the contest is designed to recognize fire prevention and safety coverage during FPW (October 7-13). Your submission will not only serve as your contest application, but will help the OFC with the development fire education material in the future.

To enter the contest, simply mail your newspaper Fire Prevention Week supplement or section with a contact name, phone number and circulation category to:

EMAIL Maurizia or Julie Anne with the edition date and page numbers where your section ran, and they will provide the OFC with digital access to your entry via AWSOM.

Entries received will be divided into three circulation categories:
under 2500 | 2501 – 5000 | 5001 and over
The entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges.
