AWNA’s BNC Call for General Excellence
The BNC’s General Excellence category is open for your submissions. This is the competition where your entire edition is reviewed and scored on different categories, including Local Features, Community News, Advertising Content etc and is used to determine Best Overall, Best Front Page, Best Sports Page/Section and Best Editorial Page for your circulation category.

FEBRUARY (Feb 1-28) AND AUGUST (Aug 1-31)
The AWNA has selected two MONTHS in 2023 from which members may select their General Excellence entries. Choose only ONE edition from February, 2023 and ONE edition from August, 2023, that which you consider the best issue for each of these months.
Your entry will consist of:
- the entry form and
- TWO newspapers in total: ONE copy of your best February 2023 edition and ONE copy of your best August 2023 edition
