Update on AWNA’s Better Newspaper Competition

There will be a change in AWNA’s General Excellence Competition. In the past, members were asked to send in two copies of two weeks, selected by the BNC committee. For the 2017 competition, we will be asking that members submit TWO copies from TWO months instead. This will give the members an opportunity to submit their best issue, from these two months, for judging. The months selected will be made available when the Call for Entries has been released.

Entry details will be included in the Association’s Keeping-Up-To-Date newsletter by mid-November.

Call for Entries for the Photographic Awards and Awards of Excellence will be released mid-December.

BEST AG SECTION

Submissions for the Best Ag Section have been extremely low in the past. Genome Alberta, sponsors of this award, will be increasing its first place cash award, in the hopes that it will entice more members to participate in this category.

We encourage AWNA members to send in your ‘Best Ag Section’ from 2017.
